It all started sitting on my laptop in bed. Six months pregnant with my third, lacking self confidence because of my size, exhausted from working crazy hours delivering newspapers from 2am-7am in an effort to be home with my two girls during the day, and feeling utterly alone. I didn’t feel like I had anyone to connect with. I had 3 friends that I saw regularly and one of them was my mom. And I never had time for ME. I had lost myself entirely.
My friend in Wisconsin that I met through another online opportunity that didn’t work out for either of us, invited me to an activewear party. Even though I had no money in the budget to spend on myself (and didn’t know if I ever would again), I accepted. I’m extremely motivated in my workouts by cute clothing. And since I was feeling so down about my appearance, I was desperate to find something to give me hope and motivation.
Scrolling through the site, I knew my wishlist was far too big for my lack of budget. So I did something crazy. I signed up to be a rep. Having never tried the clothing and having no idea what size I was. I hoped that I would at least make enough to cover my own spending so I could cross a few things off my list.
Over the past year and a half, it has turned into so much more than that though. I FOUND that community I had been searching for! I FOUND my motivation to workout and my confidence again. I FOUND a way to get out of that crazy job delivering newspapers that I was working 7 days a week that had “no way out”. I FOUND something that was for ME again, outside of wife and mom!
Now I get to show all three of my kids that if they want something and are willing to work for it, they can achieve anything! I’m building an empire that is changing the lives of so many women who are stuck where I was, and from ALL walks of life. And I’m doing it all with the best view in the world. Watching my kids grow up.
